Somewhat finished canopy, still need to put my .75 oz cloth on the front where the balsa is still showing
Front view
Cowl contruction
Flying wires installed (3/8" hardpoints in stabs)
Rudder matched to the fuse bottom.
Hatch for the bottom of the plane
Wing root caps
I try to get as much done to them before they go on the wing since they are much easier to handle that way.
These dowels are what the hooks will go in. I use rubberbands to hold the wings together. Light weight and will never back out like a bolt. Plus it doesn't hold the wing to the fuse side, it holds the two wings together.
The fuse side starting to look like swiss cheese with all the holes for the anti-rotation pins, wires, and hooks that the rubberbands will go on.
